Your Private Guide will have tickets and reservation to skip the line.To be a private tour there is not a specific meeting time due everything will be customized by your Private Licensed Guide as best for you. In order to visit Sistine Chapel and St. Peter Basilica need to follow the appropriate “dress code” : too short skirts and too short pants not allowed same if wearing sleeveless shirts, knee length for skirts and pants, shoulder must be covered. Big tripods and big backpacks not allowed. Vatican Private Tour do not run on Sunday and Public Holidays.

Vatican Museum

One of the biggest collections of Sculptures and Fine Art is located within the Vatican’s boundaries. Founded by the Pope Julius II in 1506 display works from the immense collection built up by the throughout the centuries including some of the most renowned classical sculptures and most important Renaissance masterpieces in the world. The Vatican Museum celebrated their 500th Anniversary in October 2006 and remains one of the biggest attraction of the whole World since more than 5 Centuries.

Laocoon

The sculpture was discovered 14 January 1506. Laoccon and His Sons was purchased by the Pope Julius II to display at the Vatican, this masterpiece of Greek Sculptors was the first “brick” in order to built the huge Collections of the Museum. Laoccon is one of the highlights of our tour.

Sistine Chapel

Columbus haven’t discover the America yet when this gem was built due the wish of Pope Sixtus IV. The fame of the Sistine Chapel mainly lies in the frescos that show the peak of the Renaissance. Botticelli, Perugino, Rosselli, Pinturicchio, Michelangelo at once in the same place. Actually is the site of the Conclave, the process by which the new Pope is selected and elected. The first Mass was celebrate on August 15th 1483 which s the feast of the Assumption, for this reason the Chapel was dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Saint Peter Basilica

Built by Emperor Constantine in 4th Century AD on the burial site of the first Pope Saint Peter was rebuild by Pope Julius II. He never saw the Church finished because took more than one Century to complete the works. St. Peter Basilica remains the biggest Church in the world, its dome is dominant skyline of the city of Rome, called by locals “ Cupolone”.

Dress Code

 In order to visit the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter Basilica you need to follow the appropriated dress code. Visitors wearing too short skirts and too short pants not allowed same for sleeveless shirts. Be sure to have with you a jacket, a polo or simply a scarf to wear around your shoulder and/or waist, knee length for skirts and shorts. Thank you.
